JROTC Cadre (Non-DoD Assets) Information Assurance Requirements
SUBJECT: JROTC CADRE (CAC INELIGIBLE STAFF)
PURPOSE: To provide guidance regarding the minimum Information Assurance (IA) Acceptable Use Policy and Information Assurance requirements for JROTC cadre supporting Junior ROTC high school programs. This process does not pertain to military, DA civilians or DoD contractors.
PREREQUISITES:
· AKO Account
· Computer with Internet Connectivity
REQUIREMENTS:
1. Read and digitally sign the Acceptable Use Policy (AUP). The AUP is available on the JROTC Portal. Also sign addendum items 8, 10, & 12.
Note: AUPs that are not filled out completely to include a signature and a date will not be considered valid. Partial pages of an AUP are not accepted; all pages of the AUP signed must be provided.
2. Complete initial DoD Cyber Awareness Challenge Training. DoD Cyber Awareness Challenge Training and exam must be completed initially and annually prior to previous year’s anniversary date.

Step One: Training
The Information Awareness Training may be taken by clicking on the button located on the URL listed above.
Note: The certificate will be offered after completion of the training and exam modules, if you do not print it at that time you may have to "redo" the training to obtain the certificate.
Login Using the “NON CAC Login” Option:
A. Click on the “NON CAC Login” button.
B. If you already have a Username and Password, enter them and then press the Login button and skip to Step XX. If you do not have an account, proceed to Step C.
C. Click on the button.
D. Fill out the required fields on the Account Registration screen and click on the button. Required fields are identified with a . See screen shot below for notes on how to fill out this screen.
E. If your account registration application is successful, you will see a window similar to the one below.
F. Click on the button. This will return you to the Information Assurance User Portal login page.
G. Enter the Username and Password you setup in Step D and then click on .

J. This exams consists of 10 multiple choice and true/false questions. You will have 30 minutes to complete the exam. If you receive a passing grade of 70 or higher, you will receive a certificate of completion. Click on to begin the exam.
K. Save and print a copy of the completion certificate.
