Industry Veteran Gary Kanaby Joins MFG

as Director of Sales for Wind Energy

Ashtabula, OH (April 4, 2011) – The Molded Fiber Glass Companies (MFG), a distinguished international composites manufacturer, announced today that industry veteran Gary Kanaby has joined the company in the newly created capacity of director of sales for wind energy. Gary will assume responsibility for growing sales for Wind Energy Services Company, based in Gainesville, TX as well as MFG’s composite blade manufacturing entities in North America.

For the last decade Gary has been involved in the wind blade manufacturing and service business, most recently as an independent consultant and from 2002-2010 with Knight & Carver Wind Group. At Knight & Carver he led the creation of the wind blade division and successfully drove revenue growth to $18M.

Gary currently serves on three AWEA committees – Operations & Maintenance, R&D, and Public Affairs. He also sits on the United States "shadow committee” for the new IEC standard covering wind turbine blades (IEC 61400-5).

In addition to experience with composites for wind energy systems, Gary’s professional involvement with composites engineering and manufacturing spans more than 36 years, including management roles with automotive, marine craft and civil construction companies.
