Building a Grad Nation Summit to share progress on boosting national high school graduation rate

The Building a Grad Nation Summit, taking place Feb. 24-26, is the premier annual event of Grad Nation, the growing movement of dedicated organizations, individuals and communities working to end the high school dropout crisis and prepare young people for college and the 21st century workforce. The 3rd annual event will bring together hundreds of community organizations, educators, local and state leaders, nonprofit organizations, businesses, youth and others in Washington, DC to share progress and inspire action. Whileregistrationto attend the Summit, which is free of charge, has reached capacity, interested participants are encouraged to register on the waitlist until space becomes available.

The central theme of the 2013 summit is“Realizing the Promise” with a focus on thinking differently and imagining success. The main highlight of the summit is the 2013 report update of Building a Grad Nation: Progress and Challenge in Ending the High School Dropout Epidemic. In addition to a special video message from renowned poet Dr. Maya Angelou to close the Summit, confirmed speakers and moderators for the plenary sessions include the following individuals.
