Contracted Lecturer (Services Agreement)

Job Responsibilities

Essential

  • Prepare, deliver, assess, moderate and improve modules on a variety of modules associated with the MSc Programme, as outlined in your teaching schedule and contract for services.
  • Assist in the development of learning materials for use by module delivery teams (e.g. contribute to module materials on the Student Portal, suggestions for recommended reading, etc.).
  • Assist in the ongoing monitoring of student progression as outlined by the Programme Leader.
  • Maintain records needed to monitor student progress, achievement and attendance, and to provide updates to the relevant MSc Team Members, Client Work Team and Programmes Office as necessary.
  • Update all relevant documentation required as part of Module Management, including providing feedback on and inputs to the lesson plans.
  • Participate in the development and marking of assessments, including timely return of results and student feedback, and contribute towards the development of grading rubrics.
  • Attend and contribute to meetings related to the relevant C&P Programmes to which you are assigned (e.g. Lecturer Meetings,Module Management and Progression and Subject Boards).
  • Provide student support by being the first point of contact for a variety of programme queries.
  • Provide feedback to students and PCI College on student progression and any issues identified.
  • Maintain your own continuing professional development in relevant areas, including teaching practice and procedures in line with our contract and assigned modules.
  • Understand, apply and advise students on all PCI College policies and procedures as outlined in the Programme Handbook and Client Work Handbook.
  • To represent the College as an advocate at all times.

  • Contribute to the development, planning, implementation and review of a high quality curriculum
  • Contribute to programme and module development
  • Work with other team members in the development of policies and procedures related to programme delivery
  • Contribute to departmental, faculty or interdepartmental working groups or committees
