Craft Brewers Guild Brewing Up an Extended Beer Week Celebration for 2015

Arizona Beer Week to Take Place Statewide Feb. 12 – 21, 2015

PHOENIX, Ariz. –Arizona’s growing thirst for craft beer will be quenched when Arizona Beer Week returns next year with its fifth installment, and this time, statewide breweries, bars and restaurants will be hopping with beer tastings, special tappings, beer dinners and brewery tours for even longer than last time around.

From Feb. 12 – 21, 2015, bar stools across the state will fill up as brewers and craft beer enthusiasts alike come together for a variety of hoppy happenings that pay tribute to Arizona’s burgeoning brewing industry. Limited to one week for years one through four, Arizonans’ growing interest in craft beer, coupled with an abundance of new breweries opening in every corner of the state, led to the decision to lengthen the state’s premiere beer celebration to nine days.

As in years past, the week of sudsy soirees starts off strong with the 15th annual Strong Beer Festival, set for Valentine’s Day, 2015, at Steele Indian School Park in Phoenix. Sweethearts and singles alike can enjoy a broad variety of the state’s strongest signature suds at the event widely recognized as “Arizona’s Best Beer Festival,” (which, this year, will boast a special “Sweethearts Section”), and then continue to enjoy craft beer centric events throughout the week as dozens of the state’s best breweries collaborateto bring craft brew connoisseurs food pairings, tap takeovers, pub crawls, special giveaways, meet the brewer nights and other events that pay homage to the awesomeness – and economic powerhouse - that is craft beer in Arizona.

“This is the most exciting time of the year for us, and we’ve already got the wheels in motion for the most unforgettable Arizona Beer Week celebration to date,” said Rob Fullmer, Executive Director of the Arizona Craft Brewers Guild. “Our breweries work tirelessly all year to produce a product for all to love, and this is our opportunity to get our craft in front of thousands of thirsty beer fans all at once.”

Fullmer added that he attributes some of the growing success of Arizona Beer Week to the fact that most Arizona breweries don’t view themselves as being in direct competition with another, which is why Arizona Beer Week has gained so much ground since first launching in 2009.

“It’s a celebration of our state’s brewing scene, but it’s also meant to recognize the camaraderie within the industry,” he said. “We all join together to raise awareness for our common trade, and this year’s extended Beer Week celebration is the perfect opportunity to help brew up even more business for one of our state’s fastest-growing industries.”

During Arizona Beer Week, the guild will be educating the public on the current legislation and the issues that they are hoping to bring light to. For more information visit
