In The novel The Time Machine by: H.G. Wells, The Setting took place in the Present/Future. There were three different settings. One setting took place In a Laboratory. The other Setting was at a Dinner Table at a House. The Story Begins in the Laboratory. Later in the story, it progresses into a lost world in another dimension.

The Time Traveler is A Major Character in the Book, The Time Machine. The Time Traveler is a very Mysterious, Intelligent, and Determined person in the novel. The Time Traveler has grey eyes and a pale face. He is the one that creates the time machine and explains to the others how it works. He is very hard working in the making of the time machine. The time traveler is a static protagonist in the novel.
Filby is a minor character in the Time Machine. Filby is somewhat the assistant of The Time Traveler. Filby is “an argumentative red head”. Filby is really both protagonist and antagonist because He believes the time traveler can travel through timer, but doesn’t believe like all the other characters that he can travel w/ the Time Machine he made. Filby is really a static character because he is mentioned not a lot, and he doesn’t seem like he changed.
The other characters in the story are minor. They are not very present in the novel. These characters include the provincial mayor, the medical man, the psychologist, filby, and the young man. They are the audience as the time traveler is unveiling the time machine. They are antagonists because they don’t believe the Time Traveler can really travel through time. Some but not all characters are dynamic because they finally believe he time traveled.

The theme in the book The Time Machine By: H.g. wells is that time travel can be risky and dangerous. It also gives morals about adventure and discovery. The time traveler builds a time machine and tries it out, ventures into the unknown. This shows bravery on his behalf. Also, the quote “But a terrible dread of lying helpless in that remote and awful twilight sustained me while I clambered upon the saddle ( of the time machine)” (Wells 86)
The resolution in the novel is the time traveler safely returning home after his adventures in time. He also told all of his followers at the Laboratory. Some say he went back into a different time like the one he was in before or in a more recent time.
