The Department of Academic Quality and Standards will write to the student concerned with the outcome of the clerical check.

Senate Regulation 19.14 k(i-iii)

(k) In some instances, students may wish to verify their mark or marks to ensure they have been calculated correctly. This is separate from the Appeals procedure:

(i)Only one check per assessment is permitted, and the request must be submitted no more than four weeks following publication of the official results. Details of how to submit a request will be laid out in the Programme Handbook.

(ii)The outcome of the verification request will be available within six weeks of the date on which the request was received. This will consist either of a new mark, or confirmation that the mark shall remain unchanged.

(iii)Where a change of mark has occurred, the Assessment Board shall be notified and appropriate action taken
