The Japan Die cast Association has planned the following six factory tour courses to be held in conjunction with the 2012 Japan Die Cast Conference/Exhibition. Please participate in these tours.

4. Assembly: 30 people for each course (Up to 3 people from each company may participate in each course.)

(Note: A course will be cancelled if fewer than 15 people register to participate.)

*If one of the company’s which you tour requests a tour of or visit to your plant in the future (a counter-visit), please deal with the request appropriately.

5. Application deadline: October 15 (Monday). When 30 people have registered, registration stops.

you will have to make advance arrangements by telephone (Kinki-Nippon Tourist).

Characteristics of the factory
A total of 18 special casting, PF, and GF machines are installed, producing products using various casting processes. And its overseas factory, Soritsu Technology Malaysia SDN.BHD. (S.T.M), has been operating for 20 years. Last year it opened for business in Thailand where its sales office is now conducting sales activities. In its Japanese plant, it is working to train technologists, and about 50% have passed Die Cast Competency Exam Class 1 or Class 2.

Characteristics of the factory
This company has been producing large quantities of aluminum die cast electrical components since 1968. Since then it has expanded its die cast business until its die cast related sales account for about 85% of its total sales (including dies). It performs production and quality assurance linked from dies to casting and processing. Its headquarters factory operates 20 machines ranging from 350 to 650 tons, its major products are automobile use alternators and starter brackets, and it ships approximately 10,000 tons of aluminum die cast products each year. It features a totally automated integrated production line from a melting and holding furnace to presses and shot-blasting.

Since its founding, it has promptly provided the quality its customers demand, meeting their expectations and earning their trust. Characteristics of the factory
As an aluminum die cast product manufacturer, it provides products to customers in a wide range of fields. Its company name, Full-Chu, means it is a company which satisfies its customers desires with products cast (Japanese “Chu-zo”) by the “full” line-up method, which includes die casting, sand casting, and mold casting. Its factory operates a total of 10 machines including 3 super high speed die cast machines ranging from 800 to 3,550 tons. It produces from 500 to 600 tons of products per month; mainly large die casts.

Characteristics of the factory
It is a die cast maker established 35 years ago with its headquarters in Irima City in Saitama Prefecture. It now has factories, but originally its specialty was planning and design and it continues to operate as a fabless manufacturer which orders manufacture and assembly work from affiliated companies and takes responsibility for the final products. It opened its own factory in 1997. At this time, it has factories at four locations—in Irima and Tsurugashima in Saitama Prefecture and in Dalian and Shanghai in China—where it has built one-stop systems handling planning and design through casting to processing and assembly.

Characteristics of the factory
It was founded in 1999, when its parent company, Sanden Corporation, separated the aluminum casting division of the Sanden Yattajima Business Center which produced car air-conditioner use compressors, to form the new company. Its big feature is its fully automatic production system: melted aluminum from the aluminum melting furnace in the east side of the factory is supplied to the Furnace of each die cast machine by an automatic distribution system, and products which have been cast and then runner cut are automatically conveyed to workers.

Because it has achieved more than five years of success, it is now focusing on building and marketing its new system, the ECO-Diecast Machine. It performs test processing, mainly of manufacturing processing.

It aims to build higher level products through joint development with its customers.
