Silver Lake Band Camp at Camp Concord
(Camp Richardson/Fallen Leaf Lake at South Lake Tahoe) / Overnight Camp

July 27 – August 2 / $675 / Concert band sight reading music and practice, then selecting several works of music that they will rehearse for the Saturday Concert. Counselors and band directors sit in rehearsals with campers to give them 1-on-1 instruction. Jazz ensemble is an optional activity. Like the concert bands; the jazz ensembles will sight read and then focus on music for the Saturday concert. Drum major lessons and workshops are available. Impprovisation, small ensembles included. Campfires, swimming, night hikes, trout fishing, movies, dances, volleyball, beach party, & horseback riding. / Information:

Parking $13 - 21 / Campers participate in one primary ensemble during the week (choir, band, or orchestra). Students will participate in Concert Band, Orchestra, or Choir (high school only) as a major performing ensemble. Jazz ensemble is a secondary performing ensemble. Students will have daily sectional rehearsals, chamber ensemble, and elective classes. Elective choices include piano, music theory, improvisation,
music appreciation, music technology, composition, and guitar. Students will also have the opportunity to participate in master classes and take private lessons with SJSU faculty.
