Wisconsin Life on Wisconsin Public Television Features Sturgeon Bay Researcher Mike Grimm
Wisconsin Life continues to highlight the stories of notable Wisconsinites — from Waukesha to Washburn and everywhere in between — bringing to life the humorous, surprising and sometimes emotional tales of those who call Wisconsin home.
With the return of new episodes of Wisconsin Life, viewers can see all-new stories from different communities across the state. These stories include that of Sturgeon Bay’s Mike Grimm in the new episode premiering 8 p.m. Monday, July 28 on Wisconsin Public Television (WPT).
Mike Grimm’s workday is rather unconventional. As an employee of the Nature Conservancy, he gets the rare opportunity to walk throughout St. Martin Island — a sanctuary few are lucky enough to explore. Grimm studies the island in order to provide the agency with a complete inventory of its migratory bird population. Through his work, he hopes to increase awareness of the Grand Traverse island chain’s importance for migratory birds.
Tune into Wisconsin Life to explore the hidden gems of St. Martin’s Island with Grimm. This episode of Wisconsin Life will also feature other stories from across the state, including a Madison actress who is now one of Taliesin's most popular tour guides and a Beloit anthropologist who is helping return artifacts to native nations.
Wisconsin Life is a partnership project of Wisconsin Public Television and Wisconsin Public Radio. In addition to the television program, audio reports can be heard on Wednesday and Friday at 6:35 a.m. and 8:35 a.m. duringMorning Edition, and onCentral Timeat 4:45 on Mondays and Wednesdays.
