Purpose of role
Working at the core of a programme of work in Ireland to understand how people experience inequality, to identify key themes around which action can be taken to reduce inequality and to build a movement of people in putting the solutions they identify into practice.
Duties of the role
- Developing and sustaining positive relationships with a range of local people, including council officers, community leaders and residents, as well as a range of local groups and organisations;
- Supporting the Project Team deliver innovative community engagement activities in all three communities alongside colleagues and local trained volunteers;
- Recruiting local people to become trained volunteers and ensuring those volunteers remain engaged and involved;
- Undertaking analysis and collation of ethnographic and action research across the range of programmes being delivered in Ireland;
- Recruiting local people to participate in a range of community activities and research;
- Recruiting social innovators to take part in the programme’s co-creation and accelerator processes and supporting their involvement in these activities including by providing coaching and mentoring;
- Publicising the project through flyers, posters, social media and networking with local groups and organisations;
- Supporting face-to-face, online, and print communication and marketing activities;
- Organising events that draw in and involve local residents and partners; and
- Any other duties are required by the line manager in line with the grade of the post.

Essential Requirements
- Share our commitment to tackling inequality by supporting the team in developing practical initiatives in local communities.
- Experience in delivering or assisting in the successful delivery of participatory projects.
- Experience of facilitating and leading engaging workshops.
- Strong communication skills including presenting, facilitation and relationship building.
- Ability to produce excellent deliverables for a range of audiences, including presentations and reports.
- Evidence of project and programme management skills with an understanding of relevant methodologies.
- Evidence of abilities to build effective community-based collaborations and partnerships.
- Comfortable working with open-ended projects and processes.
- Have experience of using online and traditional marketing and communications tools and techniques.
- Have administration and office management experience.
