ARRESTS, JAN 16-23: THIRTEEN GO TO JAIL

Thirteen individuals were taken into custody on a range of charges by local law enforcement agents over the past week, according to the La Salle County Sheriff’s Office.
Those arrested between Monday, January 16 and Jan. 23, with booking times listed at the La Salle County Jail, include the following:
Daniel Cruz, 25, of Laredo; arrested 11:07 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 17, by the Texas Department of Public Safety Highway Patrol; warrant issued by La Salle County Justice of the Peace for traveling with overweight cargo on axles; released on bond after eight hours.
Isabel Laguna, 37, of Cotulla; arrested 1:55 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 17, by the Cotulla City Patrol; warrants issued by La Salle County Justice of the Peace for violating a promise to appear in court, failing to maintain financial responsibility, and displaying an expired license plate; released on bond after 21 hours.
Juan Ramiro Sosa Jr., 19, of Cotulla; arrested 1:45 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 18, by the Sheriff’s Office; warrants issued in La Salle County for driving while license is not valid and traveling with an unrestrained child age 5-17, and warrants issued by La Salle County Justice of the Peace for driving while license is not valid and two counts of violating a promise to appear in court; released on bond after four hours.
Mirta A. Ortiz, 51, of Cotulla; arrested 8:32 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 18, by the Sheriff’s Office; warrants issued by La Salle County Justice of the Peace for issuing a bad check, and two counts of violating a promise to appear in court; warrants issued in La Salle County for driving with expired vehicle registration, making an unsafe reversing maneuver, and failure to comply with a DPS order to appear in court; and warrants issued by La Salle County Justice of the Peace for driving without liability insurance, driving with an expired motor vehicle inspection certificate and driving with expired vehicle registration; released after 15 hours on promise to pay fines.
Vicente Aparicio III, 38, of San Antonio; arrested 8:50 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 19, by the Sheriff’s Office; warrant issued in Bexar County for possession of a firearmby a convicted felon; transferred after one day, two hours.
Jeffrey Lynn Stroud, 33, of Cotulla; arrested 9:41 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 19, by the Sheriff’s Office; third-degree felony assaulting a family or household member by impeding breath or circulation; released on bond after two days, 19 hours.
Roberto Salinas Jimenez, 68, of Los Angeles; arrested 10:53 a.m. Friday, Jan. 20, by the Sheriff’s Office; Class A misdemeanor lewd or indecent conduct; released on bond after one hour.
Amanda Roxann Hartley, 37, of Driftwood, Texas; arrested 5:04 p.m. Friday, Jan. 20, by the Sheriff’s Office; warrant issued in La Salle County for failure to appear in court on a charge of possession of a controlled substance; remains in jail as of Monday, Jan. 23.
Thomas David Spahr, 50, of Prescott Valley, Arizona; arrested 10:20 p.m. Friday, Jan. 20, by the Sheriff’s Office; misdemeanor public intoxication; court-ordered release after 16 hours.
Vidal Castaneda Jr., 17, of Cotulla; arrested 12:15 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 21, by the Cotulla City Patrol; misdemeanor public intoxication; court-ordered release after 14 hours.
Rogelio Jose De La Fuente Jr., 22, of Cotulla; arrested 7:35 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 21, by the Texas DPS; Class B misdemeanor driving while intoxicated, Class B misdemeanor possession of a drug test falsification device; released on bond after eight hours.
Roman Hector Robles, 33, of La Pryor, Texas; arrested 5:58 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 22, by Zavala County law enforcement; on hold for transfer to Zavala County; remains in jail as of Monday, Jan. 23.
Ashley Nicole Laguna, 19, of Cotulla; arrested 11:20 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 22, by the Sheriff’s Department; warrants issued in La Salle County for two counts of driving without a license, and possession of drug paraphernalia; remains in jail as of Monday, Jan. 23.
