Things to Do in Indy

There's a lot to see and do while in Indy. Within five blocks of our hotel you find 70 restaurants.

You might not know it, but Indy has many great attractions if you want to make a long-trip out of the EDEN Annual Meeting. Here's our top picks:

1. Indy 500 Track and Museum
We are going there for a work session and tour on the Pre-Meeting Learning Opportunities on Oct. 6, 2009. See the agenda.

2. The Children's Museum of Indianapolis
This is a top shelf Children's Museum. King Tut will be there in October.. It's a short taxi ride from the hotel.

3. War Memorials
At the center of Indy is the Civil War Memorial and it is free

4. Indy Colts game
Indy plays the Seattle Seahawks on the Sunday before the meeting. The stadium is six blocks from the Sheraton

5. White River State Park
The park begins two blocks from the hotel, and is Indiana's only urban state park.

6. Parke County Covered Bridge Festival

Parke County, Indiana has 30 covered bridges and nine communities that are a delight to visit during this festival, or any time of the year. It starts the day our conference ends. Oct. 9-12. This festival is 46 miles from Indy.

In addition to those above mentioned options, the Indianapolis Conventions and Visitors Bureau provides information about popular Indianapolis attractions, local dining, and other events the city has to offer.
