Activities

Introductions
1. / Show the students pictures of different kinds of pets. Ask them if they have a pet and what its name is. Tell them that today we will read about two children who are looking for a pet. Let’s read and find out if they find one.
2. / Show the students an ad from the newspaper that has a pet for sale. Ask them if they have a pet and what its name is. Tell them that today we will read about two children who are looking for a pet. Let’s read and find out if they find one.
3. / Show the students a previously made sign with PET SHOP on it. Ask them what is sold at a pet shop. Have they ever been to a pet shop? Tell them that today in our story two children visit a pet shop. Let’s read and find out if they choose a pet.
