Manage Business Processes for Worker:

Inbox Items Assigned to Worker:

You must determine if these need to be canceled or if they need to be reassigned to another person. In the Action column you can reassign or cancel them and then in the Reassign To you can reassign them to roles that are allowed to take care of that specific task that you are reassigning if you are not canceling the task. You cannot reassign a task to a person who does not have a role that is allowing in completing the task you are reassigning. If you do not reassign them and click submit the tasks stay with the worker and if they are rehired those tasks will be there upon rehire. At this point, there is no automation to complete tasks on terminated employees and if you want transaction completed by someone else if you do not reassign here then you have to open a ticket to HR Tech to reassign them for you.

Business Process about the Worker:

These are in process business transactions about the worker that is terminating. These can be canceled from this screen. Depending on the transaction, you need to evaluate what else may need to be done. If you have comp changes in processes, job changes, etc. Each type of outstanding Business Process about the Worker may be handled differently. If you hit submit without addressing these transaction they will remain in progress until completely, canceled, or rescinded in a different manner from the Worker History.

Delegations to the Worker:

On a rare occasion, you may terminate someone that has delegations to them. At the top of the tab it tells you how they have delegations from and then what items are in their inbox based on that delegation. You will want to manage that delegation and turn it off or redirect the delegation so that transactions that were being delegated are being taken care of. This screen does not allow you to reassign delegated tasks. You must handle the delegation. We haven't run into this just yet so we don't know what happens if you just submit it. Once you turn off the delegation if you haven't completed this task they do go away.

Job Change

Inbox Items Assigned to Worker: You must determine if these are staying with the person in the new role they are moving to, or if they need to be reassigned to another person. In the Action column you can reassign them and then in the Reassign To you can reassign them to roles that are allowed to take care of that specific task that you are reassigning. You cannot reassign a task to a person who does not have a role that is allowing in completing the task you are reassigning. If you do not reassign them and click submit the tasks stay with the worker in their new role.

Business Process about the Worker and Delegations to the Worker are handled in the same way as the termination with the difference being that if you wish for the transactions that are about the worker to stay in progress to completion and the delegation to stay on the worker you just click submit and they remain. You would have to do the same process for Change Job on these as you would for terminations if you want to cancel or rescind transaction about the worker, and you would manage the delegation if you no longer want it on the person in their new role.
