Beginner: Porcelain Painting less then 2 years. Applicant must provide Two (2) painted pieces. One (1) with the help of a teacher,

and the other solely by the artist. Must be a member of NYSWOCP to be eligible to enter.

Intermediate: Porcelain Painting Over 2 years to 7 years. Applicant must provide Two (2) painted pieces painted solely by the artists. Must be a member of NYSWOCP to be eligible to enter.

Public:Applicant can not be a member of any recognized National or International China Painting Organization or Association. Applicant must provide One (1) piece in any medium. The art piece must be your own original design and work.

Artwork must be submitted byFriday, September 16, 2016between 8:am: – 1:pm, no exceptions will be made. Artwork

will be released on Saturday, September 17, 2016 at 4:00pm. Removal of winning piece before show closing will results in loss of award.

NEW YORK STATE STANDARIZED RULES FOR EDUCATIONALART SCHOLARSHIP AWARD –2016

JUDGED BY POINT SYSTEM

25% of evaluation – WRITTEN: The written statement should be a minimum LEGIBLE PARAGRAPH describing the art submitted, your goals as an artist, previous painting experience, goals in art..

75% of evaluation - ART WORK: The art submitted will be graded on a point system as are all other art works evaluated.

15% of evaluation – Design 15% of evaluation – Originality 15% of evaluation – Color & Values 30% of evaluation - Technique

Beginners & intermediate Entries: Must be members of NYSWOCP one month prior opening day of Bi-Annual Convention

Beginners:$100.00 gift certificate for china painting lessons, seminar or supplies.

Intermediate:Scholarship awarded may be up to $300.00 and may be used for china painting, seminars or applied to

school of your choice.

Public:$100.00 gift certificate for china painting, seminars or supplies and one (1) yr. membership to local club.

Award:A certificate of award to be presented at the Bi-Annual Convention. This award can be won once in a lifetime in each category. All awards will be made payable to the teacher.

Forfeit of Art Scholarship Award: Award must be redeemed by September 1, 2017 or it is null and void.
