The work of Simon & Ijaz for keeping the cafe going in winter was also praised as were volunteers including: Diane Hicks, Beverley Porter, Kim Robinson, Jo Morgan and everyone else that gave their time.
Ed observed that the club seems to have a wealth of helpers.
Music in the Park–were a success in 2008, unfortunately due to the refurbishment of the Park there will be no concerts in the Park in 2009.

Matchday Programme – regarded as the best in the Bradford League thanks to the excellent articles written by Reg Nelson and to Geoff Porter for helping to produce it. Sponsors and Advertisers were also thanked as were Simon for helping to obtain advertisers.
Fundraising
Ed thanked Robin Hill for his efforts since his time at the club and who was stepping down as Commercial Manager.
We had held Table-top sales every month at the Victoria Hall for which Jeff Driver and Simon Hicks were both thanked. We have placed an advert for a new fundraiser to bring in new income streams. Also mentioned in dispatches for their fundraising efforts were: Ijaz, Geoff, Beverley, Julien and Billy. The table-tops were also improved by having live music and a cash draw with thousands of leaflets delivered locally to advertise the sales.
We held a bag-pack at ASDA in January 2009 when £498 wasraised and again everyone who took part was thanked.
A Quiz Night held in February 2009 at the Caroline Street Club was great fun and also raised £79. Thanks to Simon and Ijaz for organising the event.
The Junior and Senior Presentation Night was successful and also raised £82 for club funds and was sponsored by Pace micro-electronics and Manningham Housing Association.
120 people attended our The Sporting Dinner held in March 2009 with Gladstone Small and Ernie Coe speaking where we also made over £1000.
Ed then talked about the other events and activities we held:
School Festivals –we only run one this year due to the refurbishment of the Park, for Primary Schools on 8thJune. Particular thanks were given to Ijaz Khan, Simon Hicks, Julien and Tim Wontner-Smith for their help for the 2008 Festivals.

Our main sponsor Manor Coating Systems and their Director of Operations Mick Brannan were thanked for their financial support and also for providing paint for our Cricketforce Event.
Our many ball and match sponsors were also thanked for supporting the club.
Roberts Park Refurbishment
Ed then outlined the plan for the refurbishment of the Park which had commenced in February 2009. The Paths around the ground will be re-laid and tarmaced in time for the start of the 2009 season.
The Half-Moon cafe will be handed over to the contractors, Casey Construction at the end of the season when it will be gutted and knocked into one. There will toilets installed. From April 2010 the Council want the cafe to be open on a daily basis. Over the coming few months the Committee will have to look into the best way of doing this either running the cafe ourselves or as a franchise.
This season will be difficult due to the disruption but this will be worthwhile as by April 2010 the Park and all the buildings will be fully restored. There will be plenty of new benches and a picnic area on the embankment adjacent to the cricket field.
Lots of other clubs envy the number of volunteers we have in the club about 50-60 different people but we could do so much more with additional volunteers. On the playing side the future of a club like ours is the youth and it is good to see this policy paying off.
A vote of thanks was given to Ed for his exceptional work.
Proposed Geoff Porter Seconded Simon Hicks
Financial Report
A report by Robert Rhodes, the club auditor and a copy of the club accounts prepared by Club Treasurer Caroline Thornton were distributed and read out. Once again the club has got through financially by the support of our sponsors and generosity of individuals.
