Profile: Human Resources (HR) Manager
The Company
Vantage Foods is a private, familyowned business and operates four stateoftheart food processing facilities with a fifth planned for start up operations in the Camp Hill area in the fall of 2013. We call these facilities Service Centers which provide unique, retail-ready service programs for fresh meats to progressive retailers; nationwide in Canada as well as in the southeastern United States.
Our business focus is clear: providing our retail food customers with defectfree and safe products while delivering exceptional daily service levels at the lowest processing costs in the industry.
The Function
Reporting to the Camp Hill Service Center General Manager with functional reporting to the Director, Human Resources, you will facilitate ongoing delivery of effective human resource services and processes for the betterment of productivity and efficiency and advancing our organizational capabilities to support business initiatives.
In an environment that promotes continuous improvement, you are committed to contributing to purposeful organizational change and transition. You will be accountable for: growing talent within the Service Center for succession, recruitment and orientation, employee services, benefit administration, compensation administration, training and development, policy development, administration of the performance management program, conflict and dispute resolution, maintaining integrated HRIS/payroll systems and processes, workplace safety and building services. The role demands the incumbent be comfortable in dealing with all levels in the organization.

Your generalist skills and hands-on approach are essential for the demands of a food processing manufacturing and operations environment under rigorous safety protocols and you are proficient in Microsoft productivity tools. Confidence, technical knowledge, and proven communication skills are evident and easily allow you to establish solid interpersonal work relationships both inside and outside the Company.
