Last Friday the children at AcornElementary School had their yearly pet show. Many children brought their own pets to the show. Later everyone cast votes in choosing the favorite pet of the show.
The cages and cannels were set in the gymnasium. There were forty different animals in all. A talking parrot kept saying “Hi, there!” to everyone. There were five other birds, including two canaries , two parakeets, and one duck. There were also two box turtles, one hamster, one brown rabbit, and four goldfish. There were ten cats and fifteen dogs of different breeds.
One animal was almost everyone’s favorite. That was Impy, the chimpanzee. Impy received far more votes than any other pet in the show.
