FRONTIER CENTRAL SECRETARIES’ ASSOCIATION SCHOLARSHIP
ORIGIN
The members of the Frontier Central Secretaries’ Association have established this scholarship to provide financial assistance to a senior accepted for postsecondary education.
CRITERIA
The award is presented to a graduating high school senior who is the son or daughter of a currently active association member or a Frontier Senior who meets the following criteria:
1) Preference to a currently active association member child
2) Accepted to a postsecondary institution
3) Has good moral character
4) Maintains average to above grades
SELECTION
A committee consisting of the following will screen all candidates using a blind review process and make the determination of the winner:
2 members of the Frontier Central Secretaries’ Association
1 member of the table officers of the Frontier Central Secretaries’ Association
PUBLICITY AND ANNOUNCEMENT
The award will be announced to the recipient and his/her parents, the Secretaries’ Association and the local news media prior to the annual commencement exercise.
AMOUNT
Annual scholarship of $400 will be awarded based on the number of qualified applicants. In the event that 3 scholarships are awarded, each recipient will receive $266.
DEADLINE DATE
Applications must be submitted by the first Monday in April to Mrs. Livingston in the Frontier High School Counseling Center. If the senior does not attend Frontier, the application should be submitted to his/her counseling center for processing.
