Request for Proposals

Inmate Telephone System

Dear Prospective Bidder:

The Bibb County Commission hereby requests proposals pertaining to the Inmate Telephone System inside the Bibb County Jail. The following minimum criteria are desired by the Sheriff’s Office:

Internet capable; pin number or confirmation code for inmate identification; call back option to numbers contacted by inmate with address; telephone block with regular calls and three-way calling; visitation recorded calls with inmate and visitor; access to record and to copy all incoming and outgoing calls from secured telephones; repair requests answered within a twelve to twenty-four hour period; direct contact capability to service technician; accessible information of savings and usage of telephone system; computer and monitors, as well as telephones provided and serviced by the service provider; voice activated call system by inmates; easy collect call setup handled by provider for inmates and families/other interested parties; time limit setting on telephones by administrative staff; system notification as to time allowance on telephone calls for inmates and families/other interested parties; capable to shut off one inmates telephone privileges without interrupting calling privileges to other inmates.

Sealed proposals should be clearly marked “Inmate Telephone System” and the address is:

Bibb County Commission, 157 S. W. Davidson Drive, Centreville, AL 35042. Bid packets should include a commission offer at the beginning as well as e-Verify documentation and, must also ensure seamless compatibility with currently operating Kimble’s Commissary system.
Bids should be received by 2:00 P.M. April 9, 2015. Submissions will be evaluated as soon as practicable.

The Bibb County Commission reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
