Dec meeting held at Strike Zone in Tomah, WI
Old Business –
6 year olds – this was discussed at prior meetings. There was an amendment made in the past and this should already be in the rule book. Gary, Pic and Travis did not know what meeting this would have happened at and since we are unsure of who has this amendment there was a motion to approve this change by Pic and 2nd by Travis Parr.
Banquet – It was discussed that we may have outgrownShooters in Plover. We do have this reserved for next year, but there were many families that were unable to attend this year, around 70ish people. Sue Larson and Joyce Mitchell are going to look into bigger facilities with hotels and get back with us. We will leave the banquet reserved in Plover for the time being.
Awards – It was brought up that some of the year end buckles are losing their gems. If you have a child this has happened to please let Dale or Greg know so they can be repaired.
Back Tags - We have looked into the cost of purchasing new back tags for the contestants. In prior meetings it was discussed to order 2 per contestant.A motion to order 3 was made by Dave Pelke and 2nd by Chad Waldenberger. The contestants will be given 1 back tag, if they would like a 2nd one they will need to pay a $2 fee. The 3rd one will be kept in the office. If/when a contestant would need this one it would be only loaned out to the child and need to be given back at the end of the weekend. A deposit to get this back tag will need to be given and will receive back when the tag is returned to the office.
Rule Book – In the next couple of meetings this will need to be updated. Several rules need to be added and adjusted. Roll up top 20 at finals, have to compete for jacket unless injury or family emergency, rough stock has to have qualified ride, can only team rope twice in a weekend, entry fee needed for exhibition run, chute dog points go towards year end points, and tie breakers, etc…

New business –
There is a bucking bull/horse sale located in Bismarck, ND Feb 12-13th. This is a sale where they buck out all animals with riders. Gary Mitchell will be heading out to look for saddle bronc horses. Motion to approve hotel rooms/fuel was given by Chad Waldenberger and 2nd by Niki Dunn.
Sponsorship forms – it was brought up that they are outdated. The cost for flags, banners, patches and buckles need to be updated. Sue Larson will be looking into this and bringing all information to the next meeting.
