Creating Your eFolio

What is an eFolio?

Your eFolio is your own personal web space. You can use your eFolio throughout your academic career to preserve the work that you create in your courses. Your eFolio can also be used when you apply for jobs, internships and graduate programs, and can serve as a permanent showcase of your academic accomplishments long after you have graduated.

Your eFolio account will also allow you to network socially with other members of the UT community, as well as people from other universities all over the world. Much like MySpace and Facebook, with your eFolio account you can you can join groups, search for friends, faculty or staff, visit profiles and add individuals to your professional or social networks.

To set up your eFolio account, follow the steps below:

Step 1: Fill Out the eFolio Survey:

  1. Go to in your web browser.
  2. Enter your UT Rocket ID number, choose your college from the drop-down menu, and answer each of the remaining 6 questions by clicking the button to the left ofYes or No.
  3. Click the Submit Questionnaire button at the bottom of the screen to submit your answers.

Step 2: Create Your eFolio Account:

  1. Go to in your web browser.
  2. Enter your UTAD username and password at the top of the screen and then click the Login button.
  3. Click on the Self Service tab and then click the eFolio Login link on the right side of the screen. The Epsilen Secure Login Screen will open in a new window.
  4. Click on Register for an Epsilen Account to create a new account.
  5. Enter your UT email address and then click the Register button.
  6. Enter your first and last name and select Undergraduate next to Position. Click the check-box to the left of “I have read…” and then click the Register button at the bottom of the screen.
  7. Leave the settings on this page at their default values; you can change these later after you have activated your account. Scroll to the bottom of the screen and click theComplete Registration button.
  8. Your registration is complete! Proceed to the next step to activate your eFolio account.

Step 3: Activate Your eFolio Account:

  1. Go to in your web browser.
  2. Enter your UTAD username and password and click Login.
  3. From the Home tab, click the Access your Outlook Email link in the middle of the screen.
  4. Open the email with the subject line New Epsilen ePortfolio.
  5. Click on the link provided to activate your account.
  6. Type in your desired account password twice and click the Save Password button.
  7. Your account is now active! To visit your personal eFolio page, click on the link that is provided.
    NOTE: You might want to record this web address for future reference.

Step 4: Join Your FYI Group:

  1. Login to your eFolio and click Groups in the menu on the left side of the screen.
  2. Click Search Groups, a submenu under Groups.
  3. Next to Search For, type in the name of your FYI Group and then click the Search button.
    NOTE: All FYI Group names use the following format: “College Code” + “1000” + 3-digit section number.”
    (For example: ARS 1000 001)
  4. From the list of groups, find your FYI group and click the Request button to the right of the group.
  5. The Request Group Membership screen will open. Make sure your name and email address are correct and click the Request button to send your request to the group’s owner.
