A team of officers of Crime Branch led by Inspr. Jitender Kundu and consisting of SI. Rishi Ram, HC Ghanshyam, HC Sanjay Singh, HC Satbir Singh, HC Naresh, HC Anil, HC Abrar under the supervision of Addl. DCP/Crime P.S. Kushwah have apprehended a desperate snatcher and worked out 4 cases of chain snatching of Delhi. 1 snatched gold chain and one mobile phone recovered. 1 Bajaj Pulsar motor cycle has been seized.

Information was received on 26/11/2011 that a desperate snatcher involved in cases of chain snatching in Delhi would be coming near Swaroop Nagar, Bhalswa Dairy, Delhi. On specific information a trap was laid and a person was apprehended. He was identified as Qayum @ Kaloo @ Saleem @ Salu (aged 25 years) s/o Jarif r/o Jhangir Puri, Delhi and Bhalswa Dairy, Delhi.One snatched gold chain and a robbed mobile phone was recovered. 1 Red Colour Bajaj Pulsar motor cycle was recovered from his house.

He was subjected to intensive interrogation. He disclosed that he alongwith Amjad, Sikander and Nizam all resident of Jahangir Puri targeted women on roadside and snatched their gold chains. Qayum rode the motorcycle while his associates as pillion rider snatched the gold chains. Amjad, Sikander and Nizam are absconding. Efforts are on to apprehend them.

The apprehension of Qayum @ Kaloo @ Saleem has led to be working out of 4 cases of snatching committed in the area of Police Stations Jahangir Puri, K.N.Katju Marg, Adarsh Nagar and Maurya Enclave, Delhi.

Profile

Qayum @ Kaloo @ Saleem @ Salu has studied upto 8th standard. He started his criminal activities in the year 2002 and since the past one year he started committing snatching of gold chains with his associates. While committing snatching he rode the motorcycle while his associate snatched the gold chain. He is previously involved in 8 cases of Burglary, robbery, Arms Act, Theft, Hurt, Snatching and NDPS Act of PS Jahangir Pur, Delhi.

Concerned police stations have been informed about his arrest.

Further investigation is in progress.

TWO DESPERATE CATTLE THEIVES OF MEWAT HARYANA ARRESTED

WITH COUNTRY MADE PISTOL, ONE STOLEN TEMPO TATA 407.

EIGHT CASES OF DELHI/NCR SOLVED.

With the arrest of two desperate criminals namely 1. Vakil Ahmad @ Shakeel S/o Idu Mohammad R/o Village Tikri Khera, PO Dhoj, PS Sec-55 Faridabad, Haryana Age-30 Years and 2. Shaam Mohammad @ Shanu S/o Sher Mohammad R/o Village Tikri Kheda, P.O Dhoj, PS Sector -55, Distt. Faridabad, Haryana. Age-26 Years, officials of North District Police have cracked down the desperate Gang of Mewat Cow thieves in Delhi and NCR and recovered one TATA Tempo-407 stolen from PS Okhla Industrial Area, Delhi and one country made pistol with two live cartridges.

INCIDENT AND TEAM

On 25.11.2011, a secretinformation was received at AATS/North that two persons who are involved in animal theft and other criminal activities will pass from Ring Road through ISBT in a stolen TATA- 407. On receipt of this information, ateam headed by Insp./AATS, Shaliender Tomar, consisting of SI Ravindra Singh, HC Devender, HC Rajesh, Ct. Amit, Ct. Ravi Khari, Ct. M.A Khan and Ct. Praveenwas constituted under thesupervisionof Sh. R.K.Singh ACP/Operation Cell. The officials of AATS team took their position at out gate ISBT, Kashmere Gate and at about 09:40 P.M, one TATA 407 came from Rajghat side. Sensing the presence of police they tried to run away but they were apprehended. On enquiry their names were revealed as1. Vakil Ahmad @ Shakeel S/o Idu Mohammad R/o Village Tikri Khera, PO Dhoj, PS Sec-55 Faridabad, Haryana Age-30 Years and 2. Shaan Mohammad @ Shanu S/o Sher Mohammad R/o Village Tikri Kheda, P.O Dhoj, PS Sector -55, Dist. Faridabad, Haryana. Age-26 Years,. . On the casual search of Vakil Ahmad @ Shakeel, who was on the driver seat, one loaded country made pistol and one more live cartridge were recovered from his possession. They were asked to produce the document pertaining to the TATA-407, but they failed to do so. On verification, the said TATA-407 was found to be stolen from the area of PS Okhla Industrial Area vide case FIR No. 55/11, u/s 379 IPC, PS Okhla Industrial Area, Delhi. Subsequently, a case vide FIR No. 240/11 dated 25.11.2011 u/s 25/54/59 Arms Act & 411/482/34 IPC was registered at PS Kashmere Gate and investigation was taken up.

INTERROGATION & INVESTIGATION

On sustained interrogation, it was revealed that Vakil Ahmad @ Shakeel originally from Mewat and is at present living in Tikri Kheda Village Faridabad, Haryana. He with his other gang associates used to steal cattle from Delhi/NCR area in stolen vehicles. The gang then sells the stolen animals to the slaughter house earning handsome profit. They do not hesitate to fire upon police while involved in stealing the animals. There are three cases reported against accused Vakil Ahmed @ Shakeel of hitting police vehicle and firing on police. He along with his close associate Zakir @ Doctor and other associate were able to escape after firing on police from area of P.S. Dabri Delhi. Twice Faridabad police chased him and he with his gang opened fire on the police and managed to escape.

No. DL1LK-4902).

2.One country made pistol and two live cartridges.

3.04 knives used for animal slaughtering.

INFORMATION / OPERATION

A team of officers of Police Station Kirti Nagar under the supervision of Inspr. Ranjay Atrishya SHO/Kirti Nagar, led by Inspr. Kishore Kumar, Inspr./ATO, PSI Dinesh Beniwal, PSI Rohit Kumar, HC Mahender Singh No 2087/W, Ct.Ishwar Singh 1877/W, Ct. Satyawan 997/W & Ct.Jaswant 2751/W was constituted on secret information about above accused persons. The above team was on patrolling in the area of P.S. Kirti Nagar and during the patrolling PSI Dinesh Beniwal spotted one red coloured motorcycle which was without No. plate. On suspicion, the M/cycle rider was asked to stop but he tried to turn back his M/Cycle and tried to run away from the spot but was apprehended by the team after a chase. On his search, accused Rajesh Kumar @ Champangi was found carrying a button operated knife. On sustained and methodical interrogation the accused Rajesh Kumar @ Champangi revealed that the motor cycle was stolen by him from the area of P.S. Kirti Nagar and he was also involved in another case of burglary at Ramesh Nagar. At the disclosure and instance of accused Rajesh Kumar @ Champangi another accused namely Lal Babu Chaudhary @ Sethi was apprehended who is a receiver of stolen property.

Rajesh Kumar @ Chinangi S/o Sh. Devi Dass R/o Jh. No. 28 HMG Camp. Raghubir Nagar Delhi and Lal Babu admitted their role in the crime. Case property was recovered from both accused persons. Search of other accused persons is in on.

CHEAT (TANTRIK) ARRESTED AND RECOVERY MADE

The staff of PS Mianwali Nagar of West District has arrested one person namely Sahab Alam @ Sabbu S/o Mohd. Umar R/o H. No. 350, Gali No. 2, Indra Vihar, Old Mustfabad, Delhi, who has duped many people, their jewellary and cash.

INCIDENT AND OPERATION

A complaint was received from Bala Sharma W/o Sh. Om Parkash Sharma R/o H. No. A-5/23, Paschim Vihar, Delhi regarding cheating of cash and jewellery by one Chand Bhai Shah on the pretext of solving her personal problem. She had watched a cable TV advertisement of Chand Bhai Shah claiming to solve many problems. She got impressed by the TV advertisement and made a call on the given mobile phone No. 9910474824. He called her at Peeragarhi Metro Station, where a person met her and took her to H. No. 103-C, Ekta Enclave, IInd Floor, Peeragarhi, Delhi. He further introduced her to another person, who introduced himself as Chand Bhai Shah. She narrated her problems to him and he in turn gave her a small packet and told her to put it under her pillow while sleeping and meet him after three days. When she again reached the office of Chand Bhai Shah at Ekta enclave, he threatened her that she is facing tremendous problems and had to perform three special ‘poojas’. He immediately performed one pooja at the office and impressed her by igniting fire from a pot. He took Rs. 20,000/- from her and asked her to again come to his office after three days with 8 ‘Tola’ of gold/jewellery. When she reached his office with gold, both the persons put the gold jewellery into a small pot, tied it with a red piece of cloth and returned it to her and again took Rs. 17,000/- from her. After two days he called her on her phone and told her that someone from her family is going to die and directed her to put all available gold in her house in that pot. After two days on i.e 24.10.2011, he again called her to his office with the pot of gold jewellery to perform last ‘Pooja’. She reached the office of Chand Bhai Shah, where both the persons were present. They opened the pot, put all the gold jewellery in another red piece of cloth, put some flowers on it and tied knot on it. He directed her to close her eyes and meditate of ‘Kali Mata’. After two minutes, he asked her to open her eyes and gave her a packet and told her that he is returning back the packet of her Jewellery, which was covered in a newspaper, and directed her to open it only on his next direction on phone. When she did not received any call she tried to call him, but his phone was switched off. On getting suspicious, she opened the packet and found pebbles and some flowers in it.

Accordingly a case FIR No. 316/2011, U/S 420/34 IPC was registered and investigation was carried out. Immediately, a team comprising of SI Sandeep, SI Balwinder Singh, HC Rajbeer, No. 2333/W & HC Narender, No. 200/W was formed. The mobile phone of the accused persons was put under surveillance and his call details were obtained. On the basis of call details and local intelligence, one of the accused persons Sahab Alam @ Sabbu S/o Mohd. Umar R/o H. No. 350, Gali No. 2, Indra Vihar, Old Mustfabad, Delhi was arrested. One gold chain with pendent of the complainant was recovered from his possession. The other accused is still at large and efforts are being made to arrest him.

INTERROGATION AND CONFESSION

On sustain interrogation he disclosed that he is illiterate and unemployed. They used to live lavish life. They consume imported alcohol on daily basis and spend big amount on call girls. He alongwith his associate Kabir Saifi @ Yusuf @ Babli @ Bhai Chand Shah S/o Salim Saifi R/o H. No. 414, Gali No. 4, Old Mustafabad, Delhi opened the office at Ekta Enclave, Peeragarhi, gave advertisement in local cable TV and started duping peoples on the pretext of solving their problems.

AUTO LIFTER ARRESTED

With the arrest of one Auto Lifter namely Akash S/o Ram Singh R/o H.No. B-786, Ambika Enclave, Nihal Vihar, Nangloi, Delhi age 19 years Police team of Police Station Nihal Vihar, West District has worked out four cases of Auto Theft of Police Stations Nihal Vihar, Mianwali Nagar, Nangloi, Sultanpuri and Tilak Nagar, Delhi.

INCIDENT

On 23.7.2011 complainant Madan Singh S/o Ram Sevak R/o E-650, Agar Nagar, Prem Nagar-III, Nangloi, Delhi had reported that on the night of 22/23-07-2011 he had come to his relative at H.No F-237, Laxmi Park, Nangloi, Delhi and parked his m/cycle No DL-8S AU 9167 infront of house. In the morning it was found that m/cycle was stolen by some unknown person. A case vide FIR No 213/2011 dated 23.7.2011 u/s 379 IPC was registered at PS Nihal Vihar and investigation was taken up.

OPERATION AND INVESTIGATION

Keeping in view the increasing incidents of auto theft cases in the area of PS Nihal Vihar, a team was constituted under the supervision of Sh. Raj Kumar ACP-Nangloi comprising of Inspr. Sunil Kumar, SHO-Nihal Vihar, SI Ram Kishore No D-3754, HC Bhagirath No 1183/W, Ct. Ranjeev No 3031/W, Ct Prem Prakash No 3067/W and Ct Sukhbir No 1550/W to curb the crime. The team started investigation and all possible angles were examined. During the course of investigation various angles were taken up and several suspects were interrogated. Through a secret informer it was revealed that one of the auto lifters Akash will come in the area of PS Nihal Vihar along with stolen m/cycle. On this information, police team laid a trap at Puliya No. 4, Shamshan Ghat Road, Nihal Vihar and apprehended one person namely Akash S/o Ram Singh R/o B-786, Ambika Enclave, Nihal Vihar, Delhi along with m/cycle No HR-11B 8308, make Hero Honda, model Glamour, black and blue coloured. Accordingly, he has been arrested in case FIR No 213/2011 u/s 379 IPC PS Nihal Vihar.

INTERROGATION

During sustained interrogation, he disclosed that he alongwith his associate namely Raju R/o Aman Vihar, Sultanpuri is involved in various auto theft cases of different Police Stations of Delhi. He further stated that earlier he was an ideal person and due to poor economical condition of his family, he indulged in crime and started stealing vehicle along with his associate Raju. The investigation of the case is on and efforts are continued to arrest the remaining accused Raju.

NOTORIOUS AUTO LIFTER CUM SNATCHER ARRESTED

The staff of Police Station Tilak Nagar, West District has arrested one notorious auto lifter cum snatcher namely Harnek Singh. With his arrest 03 M/cycles and one Nokia E-63 Mobile Phone were recovered from his possession and 06 cases of auto thefts and snatchings of different police stations of Delhi have been worked out.
