· To serve as a liaison between alumni, friends of education, and Columbus High School
· To promote loyalty, knowledge and support of Columbus High, its programs, and its continued educational excellence
· To encourage alumni association growth, camaraderie and spirit through unity of purpose

What is CHS Alumni Association, Inc.?
Columbus High School Alumni Association, Inc. was formed in 2009 as a non-profit Georgia corporation with 501(c)(3) charitable status affording tax-exempt benefit for all contributions.
Who can join?
Anyone who attended or graduated from Columbus High School and anyone who wants to assist and promote CHS and its students.
Why should I join?
· To unite with others who support a nationally recognized, high quality liberal arts high school program
· To help provide Sponsorship Awards to deserving CHS students for educational opportunities both inside and outside the classroom
What projects have alumni supported?
· 2008-Assisted the school in organizing the 100th anniversary of the CHS/JVHS football game with a weekend of multi-year alumni events
· 2009-Coordinated renovation of the Memorabilia Room in the CHS media center; organized all-alumni events; published an alumni newsletter
· 2010-Published 2nd alumni newsletter; established Alumni Sponsorship Awards to current CHS students for academic enhancement; financed a student on the CHS Dream Trip to China
What projects are currently underway?
· Alumni Association Sponsorship Awards that provide funding for academic-related requirements such as field trips, school-wide annual formal dinner and other assistance to deserving students
The Alumni Association is in close contact with the CHS administration to determine additional ways it can assist the school and its students.
