Deletion and renumbering of ITU-T Recommendations

A.1By TSB Circular 82 of 4 February 2002, it was announced that the following ITU-T Recommendations were deleted, in accordance with the procedures outlined in Resolution 1, Section9, of the WTSA (Montreal, 2000):

–ITU-T Recommendation 681 (10/1996): Functional characteristics of interoffice and long-haul line systems using optical amplifiers, including optical multiplexing

–ITU-T Recommendation G.958 (11/1994): Digital line systems based on the synchronous digital hierarchy for use on optical fibre cables

The conditions governing the deletion of these ITU-T Recommendations were met and 17Member States participating in the meeting of Study Group 15 (Geneva, from 15 to 16 October 2001) proposed to delete these ITU-T Recommendations. Eleven Administrations of Member States responded to the consultation on 31 January 2002, and no objection to the deletion was received.

A.2By TSB Circular 84 of 4 February 2002, it was announced that the following ITU-T Recommendations were deleted or renumbered, in accordance with the procedures outlined in Resolution 1, Section 9, of the WTSA (Montreal, 2000):

–ITU-T Recommendation B.18 (03/1993): Traffic intensity unit

–ITU-T Recommendation E.211 (11/1988): Selection procedures for VHF/UHF maritime mobile services

–ITU-T Recommendation C.2 (10/1996): Collection and dissemination of official service information (Renumbered as ITU-T RecommendationF.19 on 25/01/2002)

The conditions governing the deletion or renumbering of these ITU-T Recommendations were met and 29 Member States participating in the meeting of Study Group 2 (Geneva, from 4 to 14September 2001) proposed to delete or renumber these ITU-T Recommendations. Seven Administrations of Member States responded to the consultation on 25 January 2002, and no objection to the deletion or renumbering was received.
