A RESOLUTION adjourning the Senate in honor and loving memory of Mary Linda Graham Landis.

WHEREAS, Mary Linda Graham Landis was born in Taylor County on May 28, 1956, the cherished daughter of Lucille Bale Graham and the late Doyle Graham; and

WHEREAS, Mary Linda Graham Landis was a 1974 graduate of Green County High School, where she recorded 12 years of perfect attendance. She went on to earn her undergraduate and Master of Science degrees from the University of Louisville, where she was a member of the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi and received the Highest Scholarship in Occupational Training Award and the Highest Scholarship in the School of Education Award; and

WHEREAS, Mary Linda Graham Landis was self-employed through her business, Landis Enterprises, and was a seasonal park ranger interpreter with the United States Park Service at the Abraham Lincoln Birthplace in Hodgenville; and

WHEREAS, Mary Linda Graham Landis attended Bethlehem Baptist Church; and

WHEREAS, Mary Linda Graham Landis departed this earthly life on May 11, 2014, leaving her family, friends, and an entire community in solemn mourning; and

WHEREAS, Mary Linda Graham Landis is survived by her husband, Gary Landis; her son, Eric Landis and his wife, Rachel; her daughters, Danea Rogers and her husband, Shawn, and Alicea Boleyn and her husband, Will; her sisters, Venona Dobson and her husband, Don, Martha Sullivan and her husband, Randall, and Dr. Nancy "Doylene" McGregor and her husband, Bill; her uncle and aunt, Bobby and Laverne Shofner Bale; six nephews; ten nieces; and three cousins;

NOW, THEREFORE,

Be it resolved by the Senate of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Kentucky:

âSection 1. The Senate hereby expresses its most profound and sincere condolences upon the passing of Mary Linda Graham Landis, and extends its heartfelt sympathy to her family, friends, and community in this time of loss.

âSection 2. When the Senate adjourns this day, it does so in honor and loving memory of Mary Linda Graham Landis.

âSection 3. The Clerk of the Senate is directed to transmit a copy of this Resolution to Senator David P. Givens for delivery.
