Strategy & Playing tactics for the new season
PC outlined his plans for the coming season. The 3 phase system started last season is to be developed further. The 2, 1, 3 strategy and pressure around the breakdown being key.
Pre-season Training & Games
Preseason training is to commence on Tuesday 01/07/14. Training will as usual be held from 19:15 to 21:00hrs on Tuesday and Thursday nights. The aim of preseason training will be to up the intensity of game play to increase fitness. Jamie Russell has kindly agreed to run the fitness sessions.
Planned pre-season games: 23/08/14 – Possibles v Probables
30/08/14 – St Neots ? TBC
06/09/14 – St Ives (H) 1st & Development Team Fixtures
EC1 Teams
Discussions on the teams which will be in the 1st & Development team leagues for the coming season. Teams up and down in EC1 discussed and make up Development team league discussed.
The first league games of the new season are on Saturday 13th September 2014
Team Selection & communications
Team selection will take place on Tuesday nights after training. Criteria for selection to be based on attendance at training as players need to be aware of the systems and moves which the 1st team will be running.
Player Registration
Player registration will continue to be managed by Wayne Marshall. All Senior Players will be encouraged to register with the Club/RFU
Subs for 2014 – 2015
Changes to subs were discussed for the new season. Luke Cornwall has volunteered to chase Senior subs. A proportion of senior subs is to be paid in cash on match days. This will increase the amount paid but will hopefully cover physio cost and contribute towards petrol costs. Approval to be obtained at the Main Committee Meeting and discussed with the Club captain.
If all are in agreement WM to place letter on the club web site laying out the new system.
Sponsorship/ Kit 2014 - 2015
NR plumbing to sponsor first team kit for the next 2 seasons

Importance of running a third team discussed. It was agreed that the club will try to play third team fixtures when the Development team have a free Saturday and try to encourage old players to return to the club. The need for a third team skipper was raised as being of upmost importance to future club development.
First Aid kits and contents discussed.

Physio - Contact Physio and confirm that she wants to continue next season. Obtain details of certification, insurance and CRB – PF
