DID YOU KNOW….*

The most common interview mistakes are:

Not fully explaining your previous work experience clearly and concisely. What to do? Show how you have benefitted your former employer, and practice your explanation so you can prove you can communicate complex subjects.

Showing off. What to do? Communicate your answers to questions in a respectful manner. Put yourself in your employer’s shoes; actively listen to the question, and phrase your answer such that you do not seem to brag.

Failing to answer questions. What to do? It’s perfectly all right to ask the employer to please clarify the question. Sometimes the employer needs to make the question more understandable, and it saves you from blundering forth with an answer that doesn’t address the question.

Acting like a robot. What to do? Get yourself excited about the interview ahead of time. It’s a state of mind. Have some passion! Let it shine through.
