Position/Title: Admin. Assistant
Reports To: Adult Formation Team
Supervises: Ministry Partners
Employment Status: Part-Time
Hourly Requirements: 20-24 hours per week
Employment Relationship: Employment-at-Will Relationship
Position Summary:
This position performs general administrative tasks and secretarial duties for the members of the Adult Formation Team.
Position Responsibilities:
- General Office Duties: Manages phone calls, assists visitors,maintains office files, updates contact information, copies materials, distributes correspondence, and other administrative tasks.
- Orders curriculum, materials, and supplies for events and classes.
- Maintains database of information in church management program.
- Works in database to create messages, mail merges, on-line forms, registrations, reporting, establishing groups, tracking attendance, scheduling events, making room reservations, etc.
- Maintains accounting for various events, tracks credit card purchases, and tracks budgetary purchases throughout the fiscal year.
- Assists with organizing and providing hospitality for trainings, celebrations, and various church functions.
- Coordinates details between a ministry request and the Communications Team, completes communication request forms, prepares program announcements, etc.
- Proofreading & editing.
- Other tasks and projects as needed.
Personal Qualifications:
- Able to articulate an identifiable salvation experience.
- Lives out a pattern of spiritual development characterized by prayer, Bible study, stewardship, and regular participation at church. Demonstrates commitment to ministry and encouragement of others toward the same.
- Supports our vision, philosophy of ministry, and seeker-sensitive style of worship.
- Shows a desire to grow, develop, and mature, both spiritually and professionally.
- Displays spirit of cooperation and willingness to serve on a team.
- Has passion to see excellence developed and maintained in all LWCC program services.
Preferred Experience Qualifications:
- Working knowledge MS Office and Excel required.
- Office equipment, computer and internet skills required.
- 10-key ability preferred.
- Good interpersonal and hospitality skills required.
- Confidentiality required.
- Experience in a professional multi-staff environment with a track record of successfully accomplishing goals.
Preferred Special Qualifications:
- Strong organizational and administrative skills; must be able to coordinate details for long-range planning.
- Ability to invite, lead, equip, and empower volunteers.
- Strong relational skills.

- Education:
High School Diploma Required. Additional education and experience preferred.
