Personal Statement Questions
This section is for you to help us understand your application better. You should tell us briefly about the reasons for choosing your course of study, your future career aspirations and provide some information regarding your interests. You should also tell us whether you have studied a similar subject in your home country. You could also explain how your choice of course reflect interests you have developed in the UK. You can also tell us about your experience of UK education so far – for example school or college, English language courses.
You can also provide some details about family circumstances and any other issue that might have an effect on your academic studies and which you would wish to draw to the attention of the Selection Panel.
Evidence of accommodation
If you do not currently live within the Glasgow area at the point of application you should enclose written evidence that you have appropriate arrangements in place for accommodation if your application is successful. Examples of acceptable evidence include a letter from friends or family that you will be living with them, a letter from a host family or third sector agency that they will be providing you with accommodation for the duration of your course.
References
You should identify two people who can comment on how you will benefit from the course, and your ability to study the course. If you have studied in the UK you should include at least one tutor or teacher who can comment on your academic ability. Please ask at least one of them to write a reference for you and include this in your application.
