JOB TITLE:Well Aware Communications Administrator

HOURS OF WORK:37 hours per week with occasional weekend and evening working.

1 year funding available at this time.

SALARY:£19,032- £21,554

PLACE OF WORK:The Vassall Centre, Gill Ave, Fishponds, Bristol.

RESPONSIBLE TO:Marketing and Communications coordinator

Aims of the Post:

Develop, update and maintain Well Aware´s database, Well Aware´s website and Well Aware´s social media presence.

Receive and respond to all requests for information and signposting relating to the Well Aware service.

Receive all new telephone requests for advocacy services and forward appropriately, adding draft prioritisation scores where applicable.

Assist the development officers, marketing and communications coordinators and manager in Well Awareto organise and coordinate events.

Main tasks:

1.Development of the Well Aware´s website and its social media presence

1.1Develop, format and update the content of the WA´s website, its database and its portals as required by the needs of commissioners and users.

1.2Develop, format and update content for the WA´s social media sites and platforms to create a communityof users and stakeholders.

1.3Research and update local, regional and national services in the health and social care field, including: initiating and conducting desk based research to add new information, contacting new services and liaising with The Care Forum´s outreach and development officers and project coordinators.

1.4Support organisations both to provide information for the database and to use it effectively.

2.Information provision

2.1Ensure that information provided by The Well Aware service is in an accessible format.

2.2Respond to requests for information from the general public and professionals through assessing needs and researching the database and other sources.

2.3Provide telephone coverage for the WA service, including out of hours.

2.4Keep informed of new developments of web based applications, platforms and programmes that can help disseminate information better either in the WA website or about WA and to use these new developments in order to produce targeted information in different formats for WA´s users.

2.5To maintain records and provide monitoring information of the usage of the WA´s website, telephone service and social media websites and platforms as required.

3.Advocacy requests

3.1Receive and log all new telephone requests for advocacy support.

3.2Identify/assess which type of advocacy is required.

3.3Forward new advocacy support requests to appropriate advocates, adding draft prioritisation scores where applicable.

4.Events administration

4.1Assist the Well Awareproject staff to organise and coordinate events for Well Aware, including booking rooms, equipment and catering for Well Aware events.

4.2To assist with setting up and liaison with visitors for events when necessary, including in external settings across the region.

5.Other

5.1Work within the aims and objectives, key values, code of conduct, health and safety, confidentiality, lone working, anti-discriminatory and equal opportunities framework and all other policies of The Care Forum.

5.2Work within the wider staff team of The Care Forum, attend staff meetings, supervision and appraisals, and participate in training opportunities as required and as appropriate to the post.

5.3Act at all times as a positive and proactive ambassador for The Care Forum and all its services.

5.4This job description is an outline of the main duties of your post; in consultation with the marketing and communications coordinators and manager in Well Aware, carry out other duties consistent with your role.

5.5Be motivated and flexible and use your organisational skills to plan your own workload within the priorities and goals set by your manager.

5.6Be aware of priorities in own work and those of the wider organisation in order to be flexible to meet the overall needs of the organisation.

5.7Travel as required in connection with this post.
