Prosper ISD Back to School
The teachers, administrators and staff of Prosper ISD are looking forward to a great 2015-2016 school year. This year we will be welcoming a little over 8,000 students on the first day of school, Monday, August 24th.
School Times
The school start and end times have changed slightly for the upcoming school year due to our significant growth and our need as a district to go back to a double-tier bus routing.
Elementary school hours are 7:45 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. Rogers Middle School (5th & 6th)hours are 7:55 a.m. to 2:55 p.m. Reynolds Middle School (7th & 8th) hours are 8:25 a.m. to 3:40 p.m. Finally, Prosper High School’s hours are 8:25 a.m. to 3:45 p.m.
What does double tier bus routing mean?
Double tier bus routing is when you use the same bus and driver for one campus and after it completes its route, it goes to another campus to complete a different route.
In our case, elementary busses after finishing their routes will be used to do the High School routes. Likewise, the Rogers buses, after finishing their routes, will be used to do the Reynolds routes. We wanted to be sure that we are still placing a priority on not combining mixed aged kids, and preserving the same campus age grouping on the buses.
Bus pick up and drop off times will be available in your skyward accounts by August 17th.
2015 – 2016 School Handbooks
Please make sure to visit the PISD Website for up-to-date information on Dress Code, Student Handbooks and Student Code of Conduct.
Stay Connected
The best ways for our families and community to stay informed of district events and accomplishments is through the Eagle Express weekly e-mail publication from Dr. Watkins, the district Facebook and Twitter accounts, and our PISD App found in both the iTunes App Store and Google Play.
