IV. PUBLIC HEARING (1)
PARAMOUNTE ENGINEERING (P&Z 13-009) has submitted a petition for voluntary non-contiguous annexation and rezoning of ±3.27 acres located in the 5100 Block Ocean Hwy W. (tax parcel 2120001202) on behalf of property owner Billie R. Milligan from Co-LCD and C0-R-7500 to Highway Business (HB). A map of the property is available at the Town of Shallotte or in the Brunswick County Registry at Map Cabinet 22, Page 186.

BIRCH POND DRIVE REZONING (P&Z#14-0001)- Staff-initiated rezoning of ±9.00 acres located at 5-33 Birch Pond Drive (PID 18200156) from R-7 to MF-14. The R-7 zoning has been deleted from the Town of Shallotte Unified Development Ordinance.

PUBLIC HEARING 3 & 4 ARE CONDITIONAL USE REQUESTS, THEREFORE WILL BE CONDUCTED AS A QUASI-JUDICIAL HEARING

SASSER COMPANIES, INC. CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT (P&Z 14-0004)- Sasser Companies, Inc. has submitted a request for conditional use to construct a building with a footprint of ±28,106 SF on ±9.78 acres located at 5030 Ocean Hwy. West (PID 1970007404). Buildings with a footprint greater than 15,000 SF per UDO Section 10-1 are required to receive Conditional Use approval. Approval of the Conditional Use is contingent upon approval of site development plans by the Planning Board.

GREG WHITE CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT (P&Z#14-0006)- Greg White has submitted a request for conditional use to operate a funeral home with embalming services at 3660 Express Drive (PID 1810005809). A conditional use was approved at this location on June 5th, 2012 by the BOA to operate a funeral home. The Town of Shallotte Planning Board recommended approval of this request on February 11, 2014.
