We pray that the sacrifices and achievements of all who venture their lives to see right prevail may not be wasted, and that justice and peace may be established in the world.

Let us pray: Lord, have mercy upon us.

All: Christ, have mercy upon us.

Lord, have mercy upon us.

Our Father, which art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses as we forgive them that trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Onward, Christian soldiers, marching as to war, 4. Crowns and thrones may perish, kingdoms rise

with the cross of Jesus going on before; Christ and wane, but the church of Jesus constant will

the royal Master leads against the foe; forward remain: gates of hell can never 'gainst that

into battle, see, his banners go! church prevail; we have Christ's own promise,

Onward, Christian soldiers, marching as to war, and that cannot fail:

with the cross of Jesus going on before! Onward, Christian soldiers......

2. At the sign of triumph Satan's host doth flee; on 5. Onward, then, ye people, join our happy throng,

then, Christian soldiers, on to victory! Hell's blend with ours your voices in the triumph song:

foundations quiver at the shout of praise; glory, laud, and honour unto Christ the King, this

brothers, lift your voices, loud your anthems raise; through countless ages men and angels sing:

Onward, Christian soldiers,...... Onward, Christian soldiers......

3. Like a mighty army moves the church of God;

brothers, we are treading where the saints have trod;

we are not divided, all one body we, one in hope

and doctrine, one in charity; Onward, Christian soldiers......
