Re:Reinstatement

Dues for your professional membership and attestation of continuing education (CE) hours were due earlier this year.According to our records, we did not receive your renewal and your membership was terminated seventy-five days past your expiration.

We do not want to lose you. This has been a tremendous year with dramatic changes that directly affect enrolled agents. We’ve gotten such a great response to the new member tagline “Enrolled Agents: America’s Tax Experts” and we’ve seen an increase in public awareness of the license and the value EAs bring. We’ve also been successful in advocating for the regulation of paid preparers – leveling the playing field so that the expertise of enrolled agents is recognized and respected by taxpayersand IRS. With IRSimplementing new regulations, we are more vigilant than ever to preserve and increase the position of EAs as IRS’ highest credential.NAEA’s hard work will continue to position enrolled agents as the most knowledgeable, ethical and professional choice for taxpayers. Without the support of our members, we cannot do the work necessary to protect your right to practice and to elevate the profession.

We know that this has been a difficult economic time, for both our members and their clients. You deserve the confidence that only participation in a national organization can bring – you have someone on your side.Your membership provides tangible and money-saving benefits, including the EA Journal, the popular and informative E@lert newsletter, discounts on a variety of services and products you use as a tax professional and small business owner. Only NAEA members are listed in the ‘Find an EA’ directory and referral service! In addition, you don’t want to miss the members’ only section and the NAEA Member Community (web board). The tax research service is an extremely valuable resource for our members.

It’s not too late. Enclosed is a reinstatement invoice to re-start your membership now. Fax it (along with credit card information) to 202-822-6270 for the fastest service – or mail directly to the address provided. You’ll be glad you did.
