Chiming of the Hour

Prelude

In these quiet moments, please pray for all those who have worshipped where

you now sit; pray for those who are sitting beside you; and pray for everyone God

wants you to invite to worship.

*Call to Worship

Pastor: Happy are those who place their trust in God,

who sing God’s praise with a new song.

People: God’s wondrous deeds are many and great.

Their number is greater than the stars in the sky.

Pastor: Happy are those who wait patiently for God,

who cry out to God with their whole heart.

People: For God hears our pleas

and listens to our requests.

Pastor: God is steadfast and faithful.

People: Let us worship our God.

that has been given among the churches of Macedonia,

for in a severe test of affliction, their abundance of joy

Silent Prayer

Prayer of Confession

O God, we find it hard to come and see.

A good work done, a season accomplished,

a list completed, a celebration:

these we love,

and we ask Your blessings

be upon them.

Yet we know more deeply

that the journey is never completely over.

Your reign has come,

and yet we must come and see You

to be more fully alive.

Strengthen us in this, we pray,

and help us to journey faithfully with You.

Sharpen our knowledge, bless our spirits,

enhance our vision and ready us for action. Amen.

Pastor: In the name of Jesus Christ, You are forgiven.

People: In the name of Jesus Christ, You are forgiven.

Glory to God. Amen.
