Your Internal Reviewer should be familiar with your research, teaching and service contribution. Your Internal Reviewer will normally be the Head of Department (or Institute Director), a former Head of the Department (or Institute Director) who held that office within the preceding five years, or a Professor within the Department/Institute. You may for stated reasons nominate the Dean of the Faculty, or another senior academic of Professorial rank as Internal Reviewer. The role of the Internal Reviewer is to comment on all aspects of your application over the three broad areas of assessment.

Where the Head of a Department (or Institute Director) is the candidate for promotion, you may nominate a former Head of Department (or Institute Director), a Professor within the Department (or Institute), a Professor or Head within a cognate department, or the Dean of the Faculty as Internal Reviewer.
