Library: All Overdue Books Should Be Returned and Library Fines Paid As Soon As Possible

Band: The MMS Band will do an encore performance of its Spring Concert for the student body on Monday, May 20 at 1:30 pm. All classes are invited to attend. Band students should wear their black band shirts for the performance.

Library: All overdue books should be returned and library fines paid as soon as possible. Students who have unresolved library issues will miss out on 8th Grade Recognition and Renaissance Rewards Day. Feel free to contact the school regarding the status of your child’s library account.

Girls Soccer: Soccer conditioning for girls interested in playing soccer for MMS will begin Tuesday 3-4:30 at MMS. 5th graders are encouraged to attend and arrive at their convenience.

Attention 6th & 7th Grades: Your end-of-year awards ceremony is scheduled for Thursday, May 23 at 1 pm in the MMS auditorium. Parents are welcome to attend.

Attention 8th Grade: 8th grade Recognition will be held on Thursday, May 23rd at 7pm in the MMS Auditorium. Students will need to be in their assigned classroom no later than 6:30 to line up. Appropriate dress code will be expected and enforced. Shorts and/or jeans will not be allowed, no spaghetti/thin straps on dresses for girls (but can have a wrap or shawl to cover if needed). Parent needed on the Madison Co. Superintendent Screening Committee The Madison County Board of Education is currently conducting a search for a new superintendent. The regulation requires that the Board have a screening committee. One of the members of that committee must be a parent. If you are interested in serving on this committee, or if you would like to nominate another parent, please notify the school office. The deadline for nominations is Friday, May 24th by the end of the school day. The PTO presidents of the school district will elect the parent representative to the screening committee. Summer Opportunities

The last day of school for the 2012-2013 school year is Friday, May 24. Our PTO will sponsor Renaissance Rewards Day for our students on that day. Report cards with several attachments will be sent home.
