As the only CARF Accredited program in Springfield, Memorial offers a high-level clinical environment. Our units and specialties include:

Growth Opportunities

At Memorial, we offer a robust clinical ladder with four stages as well as leadership opportunities. To advance in stages, you will be peer reviewed based on what you do on the job and outside of the job and will be asked to show your advanced clinical expertise.

Goals

Growth begins with goal setting. As part of our CARF Accreditation, you’ll be asked to set personal PT goals that will be part of your performance appraisal. Additionally, we’ll set goals from the start to help guide you as a new team member. These goals include:

Within the first 90 days:

  • Comfortable in our environment and able to provide high quality care
  • Know where equipment is located
  • Know who to ask for assistance

Patient Capacity

  • New Grads- 75% productivity within the first 90 days
  • Experienced- Full patient load within the first six months at the minimum
  • Average patient load: 8-10 patients in an 8 hour day

Mentorship

To help you reach these goals, we offer a highly individualized mentorship program.

New graduates are given a customized mentorship program during their orientation. We ensure they are comfortable meeting the demands of the environment and adjust the orientation length based on experience level.

The process goes as follows:

Rotations

To help foster your growth in multiple areas and provide you a well rounded understanding of Physical Therapy at Memorial, we offer rotations. Over the course of your first few years on our team, you’ll be trained to work in a wide variety of clinical settings. When you first begin, you’ll have a home base. From there, you will rotate about once a year for a three month period.

Scheduling

We offer our PTs unique scheduling opportunities. Although the typical schedule in 8:00 am to 5:30 pm, five days a week, we allow our employees to alter their schedules as long as it fits operationally.
