Tests & Quizzes:
Tests will be administered and may be in the form of essays. They will always be announced at least 2 days in advance. Quizzes may or may not be announced.
Projects:
Projects are usually larger research assignments that require more than one day to prepare.
Midterm and Final:
The midterm and final for this class are both a major part of this class. The midterm will consist of a real world experience in the job acquisition process. It will encompass all aspects of job seeking. The students will participate in a mock interview utilizing local business and industry professionals. The final will consist of the students researching and presenting a topic as a speech.
Participation:
Participation is the key to success in this class. Hands-on projects and labs are conducted routinely and may or may not involve outside work. Suitable dress for outdoor assignments is expected at all times, so dress appropriately. If a student actively & positively participates in all lectures, group projects, and class activities, he or she will do well in this class.
Makeup Assignments:
All makeup assignments must be completed before or after school by appointment with the teacher. Tests or quizzes may not be made up during class time. All makeup assignments must be made up within one week of the student’s return to school. It is the responsibility of the student to see the instructor in order to receive makeup work. You are allowed 5 absences per semester. Anything over that must be made up within 2 weeks of that absence or it will not count.No late work will be accepted.
