EXPERIENCE / HLTA Qualification
At least 3 years working as a HLTA or Teaching Assistant
Previous Experience with Special Needs

QUALIFICATIONS/TRAINING / Excellent numeracy/literacy skills
Ability to use ICT effectively to support learning
Willingness to Learn new things and participate in training. / Relevant NVQs
Shorter courses (eg day courses) demonstrating an interest in working with children
Shorter courses related to the needs of people with disabilities.
Training in relevant learning strategies
Specialist skills/training in curriculum or learning area eg sign language, ICT / Application form
PROFESSIONAL KNOWLEDGE
AND ATTRIBUTES / Excellent record of employment
No child protection or disciplinary issues on employment record.
Awareness that this role has physical demands eg pushing adult-sized wheelchairs
