A Case For Easter, by Lee Strobel, Zondervan Publishing, Grand Rapids, 2003. And investigation by a journalist, interviewing various scholars and experts on the evidence for the resurrection in history.

The Canon of Scripture, by F.F. Bruce, InterVarsity Press, Downers Grove, 1988. An excellent treatment of how the Old and New Testaments came into being.

The Canon of the New Testament, b. Bruce M. Metzger, Clarendon Press, Oxford, 1997. An excellent by one of most widely recognized authorities on the textual development of the Bible.

The Da Vinci Code, by Dan Brown, Doubleday, New York, 2003.

A General Introduction to the Bible, by Norman L. Geisler, Moody Press, Chicago, 1979. Broad treatment of the subject of “bibliology”, that is, the study of how the Bible came into being, was collected, transmitted and translated so that we have the Bible in our language and in our hands today.

The New Testament Documents: Are The Reliable? by F.F. Bruce, InterVarsity Press, 1981. This classic, first published in 1943 has been updated and reprinted over and over again. It remains one of the most popular introduction to this subject to this day.
