Dear Sir/Madam,
Your institution is playing an important role as a MPBOU-RCI Study Centre for running the Special Education Programme of Foundation Course for Education of Children with Disability through Distance Education mode (FC-SEDE Programme). This is a National Programme and jointly run by Madhya Pradesh Bhoj (Open) University (MPBOU) and Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI). The statutory provision of admission of disabled children in normal school under Sarva Shikshya Abhijan of the Union Ministry of Human Resource Development has added a new emphasis to this Programme.. As no elementary school in the country can deny admission of a child with any disability it has become obligatory to train at least one teacher from every elementary school in the country in the FC-SEDE programme.. It is a massive programme of training around 6,00,000 teachers within 10 years.
In this context, a National Conference on Foundation Course for Education of Children with Disability within the framework of the Sarva Shikshya Abhijan (SSA 2010) is being convened on December 22, 2006 in the Auditorium of India International Centre in New Delhi involving top level representatives of implementing agencies at National and State levels such as RCI, MPBOU, State SSA Authorities and MPBOU-RCI FC-SEDE Study Centres. to discuss about present status, success stories, remedial measures to be taken to realize the set objectives.. The conference will be inaugurated by Sri Arjun Singhji, Hon'ble Union Cabinet Minister, MHRD, Government of India.
You are invited to participate in this conference. Please bring with you the Status Report of FC-SEDE Programme in the enclosed Format and submit along with your suggestions and comments for the promotion of the quality and standard of the programme. You will have to report your self in the venue of the conference at 09-00 a.m. on 22-12-2006. The conference will be over5 by 04,00 p.m. Working Lunch and tea will be provided to you in the venue. You are to meet from your own resources your travel expenses and make your own arrangement of stay at Delhi. .
