General Rules for Admission
1.A student who has been indulged in indiscipline in the previous years shall not be admitted.
2.Failed/Compartment student will ordinarily not be admitted.
3.A failed student who re-joins the college as a regular student will be permitted to appear in the university examination as a regular student only if he fulfills the eligibility conditions in the year of re-joining.
4.Stagnant cases/candidates with a gap in their studies will not ordinarily be admitted. However, the gap may be condoned in special cases on the recommendation of screening committee, depending upon the merits of the case.
5.Students selected for admission are required to deposit fee and other dues on the spot.
6.Change of faculty or subject will be allowed strictly in accordance with University rules on Payment of prescribed fee.
7.A candidate whose result is declared late by the Panjab University may seek the admission in the college within 10 days of the declaration of the result.
8.If a candidate passes an examination or becomes eligible for the supplementary examination, He/she will be eligible to seek admission in the higher class within 10 days of the declaration of the result.
9.Admission to all the classes will be provisional, subject to the approval of Panjab University.
10.A candidate fulfilling all other conditions shall appear for personal interview before the Principal.
11.A candidate seeking admission in any of the courses/classes shall have to submit an affidavit/undertaking duly attested by the First Class Magistrate that he/she shall not indulge in violence/ Ragging/activities causing disruption in the functioning of the college.
12.The student has to seek readmission if he remains absent for 30 consecutive days. The changes have to be solely borne by student.
Documents to be attached with the admission form
A candidate seeking admission to this college shall apply on the prescribed form attached with the college Prospectus. The following documents are to be attached;
- Three passport size photographs (one to be pasted on the application form).
- A copy of Detail Marks Card of the qualifying examination.
- A copy of Matriculation certificate.
- Character Certificate from the Head of the institution last attended (in original).
- Migration Certificate in the case of migration from other Institution/University.
- SC/ST/OBC/Minority community Certificate as well as Income Certificate in respect of SC/ ST/OBC/Minority community candidates.
- Affidavit in respect of gap year, if any.
- Affidavit/undertaking regarding non indulgence in violence/activities causing disruption/ ragging.
- A copy of Voter/Aadhar Card.
- A copy of Bank Account in case of SC/ST/OBC/Minority community candidates.
Important Note
Admission to the college cannot be claimed as a matter of right. Even if a candidate fulfills the eligibility conditions, the Principal's satisfaction is a pre-requisite for admission. If the bonafides of a candidate are doubtful, the Principal may seek the opinion of admission/screening committee or may refuse the admission out rightly.
The Principal reserves the right not to admit any student/candidate without any reason.
