At the heart of the economy
The 4th CEP® CLEAN ENERGY & PASSIVEHOUSE informs of energy concepts of the future
The CEP® CLEAN ENERGY & PASSIVEHOUSE, International Trade Fair and Conference, is taking place from February 10th-12th, 2011 in the Trade Fair CentreStuttgart. Now in its fourth year in Stuttgart, the CEP® has already established itself as the leading trade fair for renewable energies and passive houses in Baden-Württemberg. In the area of passive houses, the CEP® is known as one of the most important trade fairs in Europe.
With an increase of ten percent more exhibitors in 2010, the CEP® reflects the continuing positive trend of the industry at large. During the three days of the trade fair, 222 exhibitors informed over 10,000 visitors of their innovative products and services in the area of renewable energies and passive houses. International interest in the trade fair also continues to grow. The number of foreign exhibitors doubled compared to the previous year and made up 13 percent of the exhibitors in 2010.
Due to its huge success, the CEP® 2011 will continue to grow. The trade fair will for the first time feature a second hall to present the growing areas of bio and wood energy as well as forestry technology. The special exhibition on mobility, which was one of the highlights in 2010 with its interactive exhibit, will be expanded in 2011. Along with the presentation of the vehicles, the entire range of topics surrounding electromobility will be on display, from the power production from renewable energies all the way to infrastructure and grid integration. The electromobility associations Solare Mobilität e.V. and the Bundesverband eMobilität e. V. will be presenting a collaborative booth.
The special exhibition Smart Energy with its central topic of SmartBuilding will also be new in 2011. It will offer a platform for this future oriented market and present products and solutions in the exhibition and the exhibitors' forum for the area of home and building automation, data control and information access as well as system concepts. Another premiere is the job and training exchange for the Stuttgart metropolitan area. The Stuttgart Region Economic Development Corporation has recognized the potential of “green jobs” in the energy sector in Baden-Württemberg and will be presenting a collaborative booth with a “job wall” at the CEP®.
Several accompanying conferences will take place as part of the trade fair, including the trade conference “Energy Efficient Cities – Traffic and Mobility” which will deal with urban mobility planning and innovative mobility concepts. For the areas of building and renovation, the conferences “Passive House in Practice” and “Energy-Plus-House” are in planning. The “International Symposium Solar and Renewable Cooling” will take place for the third time, and the “International Conference on the Application of Biomass Gasification” will return for the fifth year.
In addition, the various trade fair forums will feature several free presentations series, including “Agriculture Day”, a pellet seminar and a “Builder's Day”.
The 2011 CEP® can again count on the support of a strong network of partners, including the German Federal Ministry of Transport, Building and Urban Affairs, the Ministry of the Environment, the Ministry of Economics as well as the Ministry of Food and Rural Affairs for Baden Württemberg. This year's patrons will for the first time be German Federal Minister Dr. Peter Ramsauer as well as the State Premier Stefan Mappus. Additional support has also been pledged by the Renewable Energies Agency, Pro Passivhaus e.V. and the FEE e.V.
The CEP® CLEAN ENERGY & PASSIVEHOUSE will take place from February 10th-12th, 2011 in the Trade Fair Centre Stuttgart. Further information on the trade fair, the conferences and the accompanying program can be found at
