Subject: Academic Excellence Awards

The Fourteenth Academic Excellence Awards night will be held at 7:00 p.m. on

May 6, 2009 at the Civic Center, lecture hall. This is the time of year when we recognize outstanding students in all curriculums who will be graduating in the Spring or Summer Semester 2009. If you would like to recognize a student with an academic award, please complete the form on Page 3 and return it to Mildred Whitaker no later than April 3, 2009.

So that the awards will recognize the highest achieving students, please limit your selection to one Academic Excellence recipient from your curriculum and one Outstanding Student recipient from your curriculum. If your curriculum has multiple credentials, (degree and diploma), one student may be selected for each credential. Please pick from the following two awards when choosing the name for curriculum awards:

(Curriculum Name) Academic Excellence Award - Overall and Curriculum GPA of 3.75 or higher.

Outstanding Student in (Curriculum Name) - a student who may not have the 3.75 average but has demonstrated other attributes.

Plaques will be given to all recipients. If you are giving a memorial award (for example, Larry W. Talton Excellence in Business Award), you will be responsible for your plaque.

For presenters, a template has been provided on the next page that should be followed to help the night be more productive and run in a timely manner.

Thank you! Please don’t miss out on this opportunity to award CCCC’s excellent students!! If you have questions, call me at X7257.

NO FORMS WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER APRIL 3.
