Free Educational and Promotional Resources Available to Team Nutrition Schools

USDA occasionally offers free educational and promotional resources, while supplies last, to Team Nutrition schools to help promote breakfast and lunch participation. In order to be eligible for these resources, schools must sign up to become a Team Nutrition school, if they have not already done so. In addition, Team Nutrition schools must keep their contact information updated to receive announcements regarding available resources.

Why become a Team Nutrition school?

By signing up, schools will:

  • Affirm their commitment to helping students make healthier food choices and be more physically active.
  • Have the opportunity to collaborate with other Team Nutrition Schools.
  • Be the first to hear about new nutrition education and training materials developed under the Team Nutrition initiative.
  • Receive special nutrition education and promotion materials.
  • Be eligible to apply for a HealthierUS School Challenge: Smarter Lunchrooms award, a voluntary certification of excellence with national recognition.
  • Have the opportunity for their Team Nutrition activities to be highlighted on social media and in print publications.

Signing up to be a Team Nutrition school is free and easy. All schools participating in the National School Lunch program can sign up. National School Breakfast Week is coming up March 7-11. USDA has colorful “Launch Your Day with Breakfast” stickers available only to Team Nutrition schools. Up to three rolls (600 stickers) of the stickers may be requested for use in school breakfast promotional events. The stickers are made available only while supplies last. Quantities are limited.
