ELECTION COMMUNICATION

FROM

PAUL KENNEDY

INDEPENDENT CANDIDATE

WARRINGTON SOUTH

I am standing as an independent candidate for Warrington South, as like so many people I have spoken to, I have become disillusioned with the established political parties and I am very concerned with the decline in the democratic process of our country. I will devote all of my time and effort as your independent representative in Parliament and will be able to speak freely on issues and matters that concern us all, without having to “toe a party line”. As your local M.P. I will influence the decision making processes to ensure that we live in a society where people feel good about themselves and proud of this country.

Our Democracy and the freedom to speak out really matters.

Your voice – Your choice – Your vote – Please use it

Let me speak out for You

VOTE

PAUL KENNEDY

THE INDEPENDENT VOICE

FOR

WARRINGTON SOUTH

REPRESENTING: Appleton, Bewsey and Whitecross, Fairfield and Howley, Grappenhall and Thelwall, Great Sankey North, Great Sankey South, Hatton, Stretton and Walton, Latchford East, Latchford West, Lymm, Penketh and Cuerdley, Stockton Heath, Whittle Hall.

I am 48, married with two sons who attend the local state schools. I have lived in the constituency since 1987. My background is as a senior manager and company director in the private sector. In 1995, I became a full-time mature student for 3 years, graduating with a “first” in Management and IT. I am politically aware with a knowledge and interest in all aspects of our society. Having travelled extensively in this country and abroad, I have gained valuable experience and insight into local, national and international issues.

I have undertaken work on a voluntary basis with the Regional Board of a National Housing Association. Having Chaired NHS complaints panels, dealing with serious patient complaints, that could not be resolved locally; I appreciate the many problems and issues affecting our National Health Service and would like to work towards resolving these.

Do you feel as I feel?

§  Disillusionment with what political parties have to say, offer and do.

§  That the increase in petty rules and regulations make our good honest citizens feel like criminals, whilst career criminals and persistent offenders “buck the system”.

§  That we should simplify the structures of the main state services, and remove all targets that are there purely to fulfil political promises and that are so destructive to people’s job satisfaction and the service itself. Let’s remove unnecessary bureaucracy and let people get on with their real jobs.

§  That a direct taxation system is more honest and open than an indirect and stealth tax system. Do you realise that the stamp duty on a house costing £130,000 is £1,300 yet when the price of the house doubles to £260,000 the stamp duty increases 6 fold to £7,800 and what about inheritance tax?

§  That illegal immigration should be dealt with firmly and swiftly - by not doing so, it is unfair on, and can cause serious problems for those who have entered Great Britain legally or as genuine asylum seekers.

§  That Great Britain must retain its own identity within the European Union, whilst fully utilising the benefits and opportunities it has to offer.

§  That we should encourage people to take more responsibility for their health and wellbeing as well as taking responsibility for the consequences of their actions on others.

§  That our politicians are not focusing their time and effort on the long-term issues that will eventually affect the lives of every one of us and future generations, for example our manufacturing and technical capabilities.

I know having spoken with many of you, “that you do feel as I feel”, please give me the opportunity to represent your views and raise your issues in Parliament.

PLEASE VOTE PAUL KENNEDY ON THURSDAY, MAY 5TH.
