Common problems

Common problems we have experienced with our students are audio feed back and sometimes the microphone not working once wonderland has launched and the client has entered world. Below are the fixes for these two problems we have found.

Audio not working

If your audio cuts out during your wonderland experience, then follow these steps to try and correct the issue.

1)Make sure your headset is plugged in and hasn’t been accidentally worked loose or been disconnected.

2)In Wonderland, go to Tools>Audio>Test Audio

3)Make sure your headset and microphone are selected in the drop down boxes.

4)Click test and follow the instructions. Once finished your microphonme should be working.

5)If this hasn’t fixed your problem then restart wonderland.

Audio Feedback

Wonderlands audio can cause microphones to become very sensitive to sound. If there is too much noise a feedback loop can happen which will cause a whine noise to emanate from world. If this happens;

1)Mute your microphone, either by clicking the mute button located on the ear piece of your head set or via the volume control in the bottom right of your screen.

2)Move yourself away from other members in the group.

3)Un mute your microphone and wait a couple of seconds to see if the noise returns.

4)Slowly move back towards the group.

5)If the problem returns then move away from the group and repeat the steps 8 – 12 from the “setting up your microphone section.”
